Picture competition

To celebrate the Land Train coming to Redruth, Redruth Revival CIC, invites you to enter a Picture Competition

 Your picture must feature a train of some sort – any sort!!

Entries no bigger than A3

Can be any medium from the following –

Paint, crayon, felt tip, pencil, charcoal, Collage, mixed media.

 Entries must be received by Wednesday, 29th May 2019

Entries can be posted or taken to the library in Redruth

Story Competition

Here is a choice of sentences to get you started

Or you can choose your own!

  1. The biggest adventure of my life started on the land train………
  1. ‘I’m going to tell you a secret about Redruth’, said the train driver…………
  1. If they had known where the train was really going they would have brought a torch………

 Entries must be received by Wednesday, 29th May 2019

Entries can be word processed or hand written

Entries can be emailed, posted, or taken to the library in Redruth

Story and picture Competition – Details and Rules

These are two competitions for children to celebrate the day the Road Train first came to Redruth

A Road Train (usually called a Land Train) really is coming to Redruth on June 1st 2019

We are having a special event to make a fun day for all.  There are leaflets coming soon.

  1. A story competition – not more than 500 words

You can use suggested sentences – on the poster – to start your story, or you can start how you like!

Entry can be word processed or hand written

There will be three prizes in each age category
Age groups:

·         Ages 7-11

·         Ages 11-14

·         Ages 14-16

·         Ages 16-18

 Prizes

·         1st Prize – £15.00

·         2nd Prize A trophy

·         3rd Prize a medal

Make sure your name, age and date of birth and name of pre-school/school is on the back of the entry (not in sight of the public when displayed) plus a contact number and email or address.  (for competition purposes only).  Entries to Redruth Library by hand, by post (Clinton Rd, Redruth TR15 2QE).  Entries may be collected from the library from Wed. 4th June.

NB Your data will only be used to help with the judging of the competition and to enable us to contact you as a prize winner if applicable.  If you are a winner, you will be contacted and you will be asked whether we can publicise any of your details about you in the media.  You, of course, have the right to refuse or to ask for certain details to be withheld.
